Question
My son is in orthodontia, he is also no growth hormone. He sees a pediatrician. There is a Endocrinologist who monitors his level often. His orthodontist now tells me that his jaw may continue to grow forward and he will end up with an under bite. He says its due to the gh, however his hormone levels are well within normal range. is he correct or should we find a new orthodontist. Thanks, gale
Answer
Rule out caries. Also is he on iron supplements? If yes, iron can also cause these black spots. Rule out other drug ingestion. Consult a pediatric dentist.
