Hi, I am currently doing a report on dengue fever. I was wondering if u could tell me how dengue affects the body system and how the body defend itself in response? I would appreciate any help at all. Thanks!

Cytokines have been reported as the pivotal mediators in dengue haemorrhagic fever (DHF) and dengue shock syndrome (DSS) causing activation of coagulation and fibrinolysis although the exact sequence of events as well as the relation with activation of the cytokine network has not been elucidated..
