Question Category : Eye Problems
My 5 year old was diagnosed with conjunctivitis and she really hates the process of having the drops put into her eyes. I don't want to waste this $40 tiny bottle of eye drops. When I do get them in she moves or shuts her eyes so tight that it the drops seem to come out. Should I be concerned about that? Also since it is only in one eye do I really have to put it in both? It is such a task to put a drop in one eye.

My grandson recently got glasses. He is 5. I'm wondering, why his glasses make his eyes look bigger from outside, whereas most glasses do not have that appearance. Is it because he is farsighted, or because of the strength of his prescription? Thank you.

Question--I have recently detected gray spots on my 4 year old daughter's eyes (white of her eyes).
She is not experiencing any discomfort from the spots. She does seem to be catching a cold (cough and sniffels). Do you recommend I take her to the emergency room now or wait to see her doctor on Monday? Have you ever heard of this condition before? Any information is helpful.

My son has a eye condition called horner syndrome. His eye doctor found this and was very concerned because usually children with this condition has neuroblastma. He is 9 years old.
Question Category : Eye Problems
I've been wearing semi-soft lens for the last ten years. I am myopic and have a very high prescription. I just recently lost my lens and have been thinking if I can now move to wearing soft lenses. I wanted to know whether this is advisable for me because previously I was told by the doctor that because of a high cylindrical prescription, soft lenses are not really suited for me. Can you please confirm. I am going to turn 27 this October. - Thanks
Question Category : Eye Problems
My son is a prematurely born child of 7 weeks . His weight on birth was 900gms and he had to be kept in the incubator for about 2 months after birth. We noticed that his eyes were squinted, since early age ,but did not realize implications . He was first taken to an opthalmist at the age of three when he was diagnosed with regressive ROP in both the eyes. At the age of 5 yrs, he was taken to Moorfield Eye hospital , London where doctors examined him and suggested eye patching treatment for about 6 months . My son is currently doing well, but has a weak eyesight in both the eyes. His current visual acuity is 6/36(R) and 6/24(L). We have heard that ROP patients have a risk of retinal detachment later on in their life. I want to know if we need to take any precautions or if this risk can be avoided. Is there any treatment we can undertake at this stage? What are the chances of his vision improving? Shall be glad for a response . Thanks and regards
