Question Category : Constipation
My 8 year old daughter was born with an 'anterior anus' which until now has never bothered her. Our GP has referred her to the hospital because it's becoming painful during bowel movement. What can we expect? Will she require surgery? Every professional I talk to has never come across this before & I'm worried sick. Please get in touch, I really need answers to my questions. Melissa
Question Category : Constipation
My baby is 50 days old. I breast feed her. She is having constipation problem for the past 2 days. Does anything I eat lead to constipation for my daughter. What can I give her to relieve her from constipation. She keeps crying and is pacified only when I lift her.
Question Category : Constipation
My 9 month old baby seems to have constipation. She has difficulty to pass the motion. However she eats a lot of fruits, vegetables & drinks a lot of water. Could it be because she takes too much iron from spinach, meat/fish & iron fortified cereal? Or is she eating too much food?
Is 3 days of not passing motion normal?

Question Category : Constipation
My daughter is 2yrs old, she has been constipated since she was born but it has become much more severe in the last 6 months. She is on 60ml of liquid paraffin a day. Over the last couple of weeks she is vomiting sometimes 3 times per day other times once, she is waiting for an appointment for a pediatric surgeon to have a look at her, I would just like to know when do I get worried about her, or is it ok just to wait for the appointment
Question Category : Constipation
Hello Doc. Need your advice. My 1 1/2 months daughter does not past motion for about 4 days? Is it normal? Is there anything got to do with constipation? Since I'm fully breastfed my daughter is there any food, fruit or drink that you can suggest me to take to help in smoothing past motion.
Question Category : Constipation
My daughter is 15 months old she frequently has problems with constipation, her doctor only suggests I change her diet, but it does not seem to be working. When she has bowel movements they are extremely hard to the point where there is a tint of blood on the stool, and when she has a bowel movement she only does a little sometimes or she will try to hold it in since it hurts her. A friend is taking Aloe juice and it seems to help her, is my daughter old enough to take that or is there something else I could do for her since the diet is not helping? If there is anything else that you could suggest besides consulting her doctor, I would greatly appreciate it. This has been going on for some time and I really don't like seeing my daughter go through so much pain when she needs to pass stool. Thank you
Question Category : Constipation
I am a mother of almost 3yr old son (2yr and 8 months)I have been on my toes for almost 2 years now because of his on and off constipation problem. Actually from the 1 year of age he started having difficulty in passing stool because of its hardness. I have tried everything , suppositories, laxative, home remedies, you name it and I have tried it. Now I am so desperate as he is so scared to go to washroom and it takes like an hour for him to do it. Dr even told me to give him pediatric enema and i have tried that too but the question is for how long?? Everything and every Dr seems to take it like as if its a very mild problem and give me normal advices. I am a desperate mother seeking for help. Please help me I can't see him in pain. Now one doctor told me that he has fissure in ano and that he'll need a surgery but my other problem is he still doesn't talk so what should I do? Will the doctor wait till he'll talk and then he'll do the surgery? Please help me!!!
