Question Category : Anterior Fontanelle
My 19 month old girl is doing fine but I noticed that her soft spot (anterior fontanelle) is still not closed yet . Her head circumference is normal and she is active and growing normal. Is there any thing wrong with my child and should I be worried of any medical condition that might arise later.
Question Category : Anterior Fontanelle
My son is 18 months old. His fontanelle has been closed. It seems its still open around 3cm. He seems developing normally and appears to be a smart kid. However, I am worried that his wide open fontanelle may cause his health problems later on.
Question Category : Anterior Fontanelle
Is there a condition in which the soft spot on a babies head fails to close and if so what is it called? Can I get information on it anywhere?
Question Category : Anterior Fontanelle
My 7 month old daughter has a 3x recurring anterior bulging fontanel. Everything has been ruled out so far by LP(normal ICP), CAT Scans, sonograms. She has never shown symptoms of any neurological diseases. Possible reaction to withdrawal of steroids, but very unlikely due to short term use for bronchiolitis. Has anyone ever seen this?
