My child is 7 months old. Often vomits any kind of food. He has a very poor appetite. Now suffering from diarrhea for past 1 week. Please suggest a nice and fruitful home treatment. How to increase his weight?
Answer
You have not mentioned the weight of the child. For diarrhea, ensure that you continue to give him salt sugar water, coconut water and buttermilk. In addition if you are breast feeding continue to do so. Avoid cold drinks, tea and coffee. Make sure that the fluids go in enough quantity so that he does not get dehydrated. Since the diarrhea has been going on for more than 1 week, get a stool test done to rule out infection and lactose intolerance.
