DIAGNOSTIC DILEMMA

Pediatric Oncall
A 2½ month old boy had Klebsiella sepsis with persistent diarrhea. His serum immunoglobulins were normal and NBT test showed 3% function. Does this child have chronic granulomatous disease. Read more.

Last fortnight's query of a 2yr old girl with cough for a year. Chest X-ray revealed no positive findings, mantoux 4mm. Given anti Tb treatment for 6 months but no response. Has received INH prophylaxis for 6 months at 3 months of age in view of TB contact. How to manage the child now?.
