Dr. khurram shahnawaz says,
if there is any risk factor for early onset sepsis we use antibiotics for atleast 5 days.
risk factors include
1.PROM for more than 18 hours
2.foul smelling amniotic fluid
3.infected placenta{chorioamnionitis}
4.meconium stained liquor
5.mother having sepsis etc
